Utter wants utterverbal.com to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we’ve done
Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Text is set with strong contrast against its background. Pages use real headings in a logical order, so screen readers and keyboard users can move through them. Links and buttons have clear labels, including the arrows on the sliders. The site works on phones and when you zoom in.
Motion
A few things on the site move on their own: images fade in as you scroll, the testimonials change every ten seconds, and the client logos scroll slowly across the page. The testimonials and logos pause when you hover over them, and the testimonials only advance while they’re on screen. If your device is set to reduce motion, the logos stay still and images appear without moving.
Known limitations
Some older case-study images include text that’s part of the picture, such as posters and advertising. Where that text matters to the story, it’s repeated or described in the copy or the image description. We review the site as we add new work, and we fix problems when we find them.
